- CACharlie AshApr 4, 20261.0Dangerous. Got a mailer saying I could insure my home for $200,000 less than I know it would cost to rebuild. At best, this is a bait and switch tactic. At worst, I’m looking at a potential total loss where I have $200,000 less than I need. That’s horrible for the average public that doesn’t understand what they need from their insurance. An agent that puts that on paper either doesn’t know what they are doing or doesn’t care. Either way, seems desperate for business and not an ethical move.
