  This is the absolute worst insurance agency that I've ever encountered. They are thieving criminals who use predatory business practices and will constantly raise your premium and claim "well we paid more in insurance claims than we planned for, so sorry everywhere is going to charge you the same." Then when I tried to cancel my policy almost 6 months ago, they kept lying to me telling me that my agent wasn't in the office so I couldn't cancel my policy. Then when I finally did get in contact with my agent, she tried saying that i couldn't just cancel my policy and would have to wait until next months to cancel after i paid that next month's bill. I declined to do so and demanded that they cancel my policy, she said she would "try". They played that game for over 3 weeks, meanwhile I was already contracted with another insurance agency. I finally got in contact with the owner of this agency and got my policy effectively canceled. They never sent me a reimbursement check and instead, today after months of not doing business with them, they decided to initiate an automatic withdraw from my bank account that they used to have on file for $113, which has now put that account in a negative standing. This is criminal theft/fraud and I plan to pursue action against this agency's disgraceful behavior.

  Abysmal Customer Service My experience with the Shunk Agency has been nothing short of exasperating. For over a week, I’ve sought resolution on my life policy, only to be repeatedly redirected to a 1-800 number where I’ve spent hours on hold with no progress. Despite promises of a callback from the owner, I’ve received neither a call nor an email, even after leaving a detailed voicemail. This neglect is not only unprofessional but also detrimental. If my policy lapses, I’ll lose the equity I’ve built, forcing me to start over with potentially higher premiums—a scenario that only benefits the agency. I chose this agency for its promise of personalized service, but it seems that once the policy is sold, clients are abandoned. All I seek is basic customer service and accountability. This level of indifference is unacceptable and undermines the trust integral to an insurance relationship.
