It started as an innocent mistake, where I was overcharged due to the details of my home being listed wrong. When I corrected them, I was refunded the difference- so far no problem. But the next year I was again charged the original (wrong) price plus the usual inflation. I politely pointed this out to the many agents who regularly call me wanting me to bundle my car insurance with them as well. At first I was told the correction must not have been entered in the system, our bad, we’ll fix it. But nothing ever happened. Again and again I was promised they’d look into it and call back, only to be ignored until the next sales call where they would again promise to look into it .Over a year and at least fifteen of these conversations went by before I was told the check was in the mail. Never received it, called the office, conveniently no record of it. At last contact I was told they were requesting information and would call back the next day- of course they didn’t. I will have to file a compliant with BBB but to be honest it’s less about the money and more about the fact that if I ever did need to actually make a claim, I am certain I would be ignored for years.
