  Avoid at all costs Never had a speeding ticket or accident in my entire life. Rates almost doubled. No real answers from anyone on the phone, no emails back, just the usual run around. AVOID.

  We have had Allstate for years. We previously went to them because of my husband's friend was an agent. When she left the business our policy was given to Sharlene's agency. When calling to add a vehicle, no one ever answered. I emailed in December about adding my daughter to our policy, no one ever responded. At that time we had already found a new agency that saved us money and was very responsive n

  Premium going up 40-50% a year with no incident, accident or ticket and no explanation from agent, manager or company itself

  very disappointed. They started out great, but then Allstate decided to increase my homeowner's premium with no notice or explanation after I'd paid for the whole year in advance. After about 8 months, I get a bill for an additional $300+. I contacted the agency to find out why. At first, the agent tried to be helpful and did find out that they had sent someone to look at my house and based on the measurements (from the outside of the house, not inside) they made, decided my house is bigger than it actually is. I sent floor plans from the records on file in my town that show the house does not have the square footage they claim it does. The agency has not responded to any of my requests for information for quite some time now, so I assume they are not going to help me out, although they had tried to at first. I'll be looking to switch insurance carriers.
