- BBBrenda BloomJul 22, 20191.0I really wanted to give them no stars....I contacted Forreston Mutual back in May 2018 to cancel my policy. I spoke with someone who refused to take my request to cancel and would not allow me to send them a written request to cancel. I was told that they needed to mail me something to complete (which they never did). I contacted the Department of Insurance to file a complaint. Ironically, they are aware that I tried to cancel in May 2018, but now they are insisting that they did cancel me for non-payment in February 2019. Cindy at Forreston Mutual Ins Co. said her manager said it is too late to get my money back and she told my Mortgage Company that the agent is now deceased so that is one of the many reasons they have used to refuse to return my money. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and pursuing my complaint with the IL Department of Insurance and the Attorney General for Consumer fraud. I would not recommend any of their products or lack of service to anyone. Buyers beware......
