Medicare generally does not cover assisted living facilities or long-term custodial care services. These facilities typically provide housing, meals, and help with daily activities, which are not included in standard Medicare plans. It's essential to understand Medicare's coverage limitations when considering assisted living options.
Does Medicare cover dental services?
Original Medicare (Parts A and B) typically doesn't include dental coverage. This means that routine dental care such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, and dentures are not covered under standard Medicare benefits. Medicare primarily focuses on hospital and medical insurance rather than dental care.
Does Medicare cover hospice?
Medicare does provide coverage for hospice care for individuals with terminal illnesses who choose comfort care over curative treatments. This coverage includes various services aimed at providing comfort and support during end-of-life care. Teton Medicare beneficiaries in Idaho should contact their provider for specific details about hospice coverage in their area.
Why would I need Medicare Part C?
Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage, offers an alternative to original Medicare by combining Parts A, B, and usually D into one plan. This option may benefit those seeking additional benefits, potentially lower out-of-pocket costs, or a more integrated healthcare coverage approach. It's important to assess your specific healthcare needs when considering Medicare Part C.

Medicare advantage vs Medicare supplement: which is better for me?

Important factors to consider include cost, coverage flexibility, and additional benefits offered by each plan type.
