  I had Direct Auto for less than a year. They started out not so bad, so long as I didn't have any issues that needed to be addressed. My problems started when I needed a tow, I wanted to stay with my vehicle and understood that it would probably take a while, I was quoted a 2hr wait time, after the 2hrs had elapsed, I contacted the vendor who told me that he was about 1-2 hours away from my location assisting someone else and it would be another 2hrs (at least) before he would be able to help me. I contacted the company and told them that this was unacceptable and requested someone with faster service as I was waiting with the vehicle and did not want to leave it. They actually obliged, however, the new vendor advised that he would not be able to pick up the vehicle until the next day. I once again called customer service and was told that they would look for someone else, but after waiting an additional hour, they never reached back out to me. I attempted other calls, but never got any favorable responses, I finally located a reasonable company myself who showed up within an hour of calling them for a reasonable price. I contacted direct auto the next day and asked if I could be reimbursed the cost of the tow and was told to send in the receipt, but after following up regarding the receipt I was told that there would need to be several steps taken to get the money back. I didn't want to deal with the hassle anymore and changed insurance companies.
