This has been one of the most incompetent and unacceptable experiences I’ve ever had with a company. The level of customer service at the Matthew Devine Agency is so poor that it feels borderline fraudulent.
They incorrectly applied a payment to my account and then refused to correct their mistake. My mortgage company and I have provided clear documentation showing that the correct amount was paid.
Because of their error, they wrongfully cancelled my homeowner’s insurance, leaving me scrambling to fix a problem they created. This is not just careless, it’s completely irresponsible.
Even now, I have not received a refund, nor have they made any real effort to reinstate my policy. Getting a straight answer or any accountability has been nearly impossible.
I would strongly advise others to steer clear of the Matthew Devine Agency.

They do not answer calls. I have been trying to cancel an auto policy for 2.5 months.

My Allstate agency was bought out by this firm. I received no notification from either Allstate or the new owner. Upon receipt of my homeowner renewal, I reached out and spoke with an agent, Rebbeca Mink. She was to have had the service manager, Patrick Oliver, contact me regarding my concern of not having received notification of their purchase. To date, I have received no response from him. In addition, in my initial conversation with Ms Mink, I requested her to e-mail me a review of both auto and homeowner policies for adjustments that could be made to lower cost. To date, I have received no further contact. Not a good image for either Allstate or agency.

Never answer the phone. Don’t return emails/calls. Randomly increase rates outside of renewal period. Impossible to get a live person and the owner doesn’t care.
