  I have been with Direct Auto Insurance for almost two years, and I can honestly say this has been one of the most frustrating insurance experiences I have ever had. From the very beginning, I learned the hard way how their customer service operates, and unfortunately it has only gone downhill. When I first started my policy, I was on automatic payments and called in simply asking for a couple of extra days to make my payment. I was reassured by the representative that it would not be an issue. Instead of just giving me the short extension I requested, she went ahead and changed my policy date without clearly explaining what she was doing. That single action caused my monthly payment to increase, which left me confused and stressed over something that should have been very simple. Not long after, I received a cancellation notice and my discounts were removed immediately, even though I had a pay to cancel date and my policy was technically still active. The payment had not cleared yet, but that should not have resulted in such extreme changes. After days of calling, escalating the issue, and repeatedly explaining myself, someone finally pulled the recorded phone call and confirmed that the representative was at fault. While my policy was reinstated, my discounts were never reapplied at the same rate. I was forced to continue paying a higher premium because of a mistake I did not make. Recently, I ran into the same issue again after an NSF payment. Once again, my discounts were removed without any conversation, warning, or attempt to work with me. After nearly two years of consistently paying my bill on time and often in advance, I expected some level of understanding or customer loyalty. Instead, I was treated as if my payment history meant nothing. This has been my overall experience with Direct Auto Insurance. I am paying nearly $290 for PIP coverage on a vehicle that is not even financed, while constantly having to fight to correct errors made by their own representatives. The lack of accountability, communication, and care for long term customers is extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable or fair insurance coverage

  Liza Gibson was my insurance agent...she was very knowledgeable about the products offered and made sure I understood all about them. She was very patient and I never felt rushed or unheard. I would recommend her for anything insurance!!
