Terrible service. Agent Joshua Davis never responds to calls after you sign up for the policy. I tried calling the main office and the “verification” process is supposed to send a text but it never came through so I couldn’t speak to someone. I was calling to cancel my policies so it’s fitting that this is the experience during the last interaction.

Called a month and a half prior to our policy ending, and they never answered the phones. They greedily assumed we wanted to continue coverage. Why assume when we never paid you? Coverage I thought ended on the date it was covered through. They charged an entire month and one week worth- without sending an invoice, email, or text, and we’re now in collections for services we don’t want. The only reason it was ever ended is because someone from outside of the office itself called asking for declaration docs from the new insurance company. This is wrong to never answer your phone, and charge people for services not wanted and not send any kind of notice that you’re charging us and go straight to collections.

They never answer their phone and don’t respond to emails or voice mails. Randomly increased my premiums mid policy and can’t get a live person. Worst customer service.

I recommended them at first but not anymore. Signing up was excellent and even when we had a claim, Allstate did a wonderful job supporting. The reason for the 3 star rating is because of my previous experience. My recent experience with them ultimately forced me to go to Progressive. Here’s why: We have a side account that is set up to autodraft our car insurance and home owners goes through Escrow. Something happened with our auto deposit that we were unaware of and our payment didn’t withdraw. Being that it was on set and forget (which is how we’ve done it for years) it didn’t come out and we didn’t know. No one reached out to tell us. The only time they reached out was to send a birthday email which we received. Two days after our birthday we were canceled with still no communication. I only realized something was wrong when I went to randomly log into that bank account and there was too much money in it. I immediately called Matt Devine Agency to see why our payment wasn’t coming out and the person was very dismissive and told is that we were “dropped” and there was nothing we could do about it. She said “try Geico they will probably take you” I was floored. We have never had a problem like this and we aren’t young kids. We are middle aged middle class people and she talked to me like we were beneath her. I thanked her and ended the call but after reflection I called back and spoke with a nicer lady with an odd name. I asked for a manager to call me and she said she’d let them know. After going almost two days and not hearing anything we decided to take a look at their competition just to see. Sure enough progressive offered a much better price on auto and home so we switched. I called them back to tell them that and they told me that they would mail the remaining insurance balance to our mortgage company which I thought was odd. I called another day just to confirm that and again they said they would send it to the mortgage company and verified their info. After weeks went by and no funds received by the mortgage company I called the main Allstate customer service who not only said they wouldn’t send to the mortgage company but that it was mailed to my address on file. Prior to all of this I’d recommended them but based on this recent gross error in communication I cannot in good faith send anyone to this agency.
