This review is not aimed at Jan Steimel's agency, rather State Farm as a whole. Absolutely awful company to deal with when it came to my claim. In short, my truck was stolen in June while I was out of town. I was in a small town, but thankfully found a rental to get back home. I had to pay for that rental!. My truck was found 11 days later with no visible exterior damage, but everything down to the seat covers were stripped out inside. Even my spare tire was taken. Truck did not drive right and needed about $4500 to fix. State Farm gave me $1100. I tried fighting with them but they refused to help. Won't even replace my spare tire. Everything they would pay for was aftermarket or discount priced. After being told that they would pay an additional $3200 I paid my mechanic. 2 days later State Farm said there was a problem and would not be paying that amount. They offered $180 instead. 6 months later and they sent me a check for $800. Terrible customer service. Won't call back. Very crooked company. I'm sure there's not a "great" insurance company out there, but I definitely will never use State Farm again.
