- XAXanthe AkeyDec 10, 20251.0My first experience with State Farm was at this agency with Sam, and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Sam was extremely pushy and aggressive, calling and texting daily while I was shopping around. Although he offered the lowest premium and I decided to go with him, things quickly went downhill. Two months later, I noticed inaccurate billing. When I called Sam, he was standoffish and said he would email me. The email stated that, due to an underwriting decision, my rates had doubled. This happened because Sam failed to include previously disclosed information when submitting my policy to underwriting. I emailed Sam several times requesting a call back but never received a response. Then, two days later, I received a letter from the DMV stating my license would be suspended for lack of insurance. After calling the DMV, I learned State Farm had not submitted the legally required paperwork within the 10-day period after policy inception. Frustrated and unable to get help from Sam, I contacted another State Farm agency in town—Tish Olesky’s office. Lisa immediately corrected everything and even lowered my premium by nearly $300 per month while keeping the same coverages Sam had quoted. I still have never heard back from Sam, but I’m so glad I made the switch! My Mom and brother are switching as well.
