Allstate double charged us for a full year of coverage, admitted it was their mistake, and still refused to issue a refund, saying it was “against state policy” to go that far back. How is it fair to acknowledge the error but keep the money??The customer service process was frustrating, dismissive, and honestly incompetent. No one seemed to know how to fix their own mistake. If you’re considering this branch, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else that actually takes responsibility for their billing errors and treats customers with integrity.
- RTRenato TopalliNov 5, 20251.0STAY AWAY! I just got scammed for being charged for a vehicle that I told them to cancel a year ago. I bought a new vehicle and told them to supply new insurance for the new vehicle and remove the old car insurance as I sold it. I was charged on both vehicles for full year. I asked for a refund, I had proof via email, I sent the email as proof, the verified that I was wrongly charged as they missed the email. They called corporate and said it’s against the state law to give a refund and go that far back. Even though they admitted they missed the email and it was their mistake. It also took them almost 2 months, I had to follow up multiple times. Very shady business and dishonest. It was their Katie they should’ve offered a full refund and they didn’t make it right. STAY AWAY, they want to charge you as much as possible. Shop around, this should be the last place you go.
