I recently reached out to my insurance agent to clarify specific details about my homeowner’s policy via email. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the clarity I was hoping for. Instead of providing a straightforward written explanation of my coverage, the agent just sent me the policy documents and referenced where I could find the answer.
Unfortunately the policy documents are written by lawyers and the sections I was directed to left a lot of room for interpretation.
The local agent insisted on discussing my additional questions over the phone, which would leave me without any written record of the conversation for future reference.
When I escalated the issue to the owner of the agency (Mary Agcaoili), I was ignored entirely.
This experience has been quite disappointing, and I feel that the customer service is severely lacking. Seems to me the people at this agency don't want to put their explanations in writing to limit their exposure to anything they relay to their customers.

I worked with Sandy at this firm. We needed to increase the coverage on our home per terms outlined by our mortgage provider and Sandy was very quick to respond and resolve the issue. She handled all the communications with our mortgage provider so that I didn't have to chase down contacts. Issue was resolved very promptly (48 hours or less).
