  Please never ever trust FCT to do your mortgage or transaction. It is completely a fraud. I have had two transactions where one client's mortgage money was disbursed and FCT forgot to register the mortgage. At the time of closing, after we reached out to our client, he advised that he had a mortgage, but the title showed nothing. Then they rushed to register it, and on the closing date it came out, which almost put the client in default. In another situation, they disbursed the money and registered a new mortgage, but the existing mortgage was never discharged. They are just a mess. Please pay a little extra money and go with a lawyer. Do not put your house at risk just to save a little bit of money. They are just a mess.

  Absolutely HORRIBLE service. We have been waiting three weeks just to book a signing appointment for our mortgage paperwork. The team has been dragging their heels for no apparent reason, not responding to requests and failing to provide the most basic service. We are now running up against the deadline for no reason apart from FCT’s complete lack of service. No one knows what’s going on or can answer questions and they are quite literally jeopardizing our refinance. This firm is the absolute worst entity I have dealt with in real estate transactions. Fully incompetent and unresponsive.

  I would leave 0 stars if possible. Had a simple mortgage switch and FCT didn't process the payout on time. 1 week later and the payout still is not processed. No Communication from FCT.

  WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM FCT INSURANCE I should be able to give FCT Insurance zero stars. It has been 3 months and counting for what should have been a very clear and straightforward title insurance claim. The city and utility emails clearly show which charges belong to the previous owners. They practically lay it out like a chart. There is nothing complicated about it. I sent FCT all the documents they asked for. Every time, they confirmed they received them and said everything was fine and the process was moving forward. Then, after weeks of silence, they came back asking for something else, including documents that do not even exist. I personally followed up with the utility company and the city, and both confirmed that the documents already provided are the documents they issue for these situations, and that the insurance company is supposed to handle the rest. Instead of doing that, FCT kept dragging this out and pushing the burden back onto me. This is not just bad service. It feels like a company that delays, avoids responsibility, and makes an already stressful situation even worse. Terrible communication, constant delays, shifting requirements, and zero sense of urgency. If you are buying or selling a property, make sure your lawyer does not use this company. Seriously, stay away. A title insurance company is supposed to protect you and resolve problems, not waste months of your time while asking for nonsense and doing nothing meaningful. Based on my experience, FCT Insurance has been completely unreliable, deeply frustrating, and absolutely not a company I would trust again.
