  Oct. 19 2022 I tried calling them again, and try to ask the termination process, it looks like it is not yet processed, but will do it now.. and they told me to cancel the policy since the beginning so that I can get the whole money. It's not possible for me to take that as it will cause a lapse between 2 policies.. Oct. 15 2022 I would not recommend this insurance company and this office. First of all, they told me that they could give me a rate which is around 15% cheaper than my current insurance. I was convinced and changed to them, after I paid for the 6 months in full and signed the contract, they sneaky added surcharge. The whole process is just not transparent, if they didn't think they are able to offer me a better deal, they should not have me enrolled and charged me more than what they have promised. Secondly, I was not able to check on the allstate app immediately, I was not able to see everything, including the insurance and the remaining balance(ie the surcharge they tried to impose) till a week afterward. Thirdly, the refund process is also very strange, I try to reach out to terminate the policy, I called both the local branch and the office, after 3 times of calling, my policy is still effective and none of them get a hang of what's going on.. I would recommend you stay away from this firm, they are not honest!

  I am absolutely dissatisfied with my experience here especially since I chose this agency based on their good reviews. I got renters insurance back in 2020, and when I moved I requested a change of address and somehow that wasn't processed. (Red Flag #1) I noticed this on the 2021/2022 renewal. I emailed them and they changed it. Looking at my most recent 2022/2023 renewal, I realize my apartment was wrong and it had been for the whole year. (Red Flag #2) My recent communication had been through email and Rex only responded to the simple things. He did fix my address but ignored everything else I had in the email. I had to follow up and his responses were short and did not try to help me understand anything else. (Red Flag #3) Based on the red flags and his customer service skills that I experienced, I decided that I didn't want to support a company where I had a huge lack of support, especially from the owner. I decided to call his office and was actually helped by someone pleasant but unfortunately I've already made my decision to not work with them anymore and cancelled my insurance.
