State Farm continued charging me anyway and promised a credit for the overcharge—around $120—which never appeared. After weeks of back-and-forth with no resolution (including them claiming a credit was issued with zero proof, and delaying a billing breakdown for over three weeks), I called to escalate and speak directly to the agent. What happened next was unbelievable: The agent refused to help me, claiming he "didn't like the anger in my tone"—despite the fact that I never cursed, raised my voice excessively, or said anything derogatory. I was simply frustrated and firm about needing my issue fixed. Instead of de-escalating or assisting, he abruptly hung up on me and refused further service. This is not how you treat loyal customers dealing with a clear billing error on YOUR end. Unprofessional, dismissive, and outright rude. State Farm corporate needs to address this kind of behavior—hanging up on paying customers is unacceptable. I'm now escalating to the state insurance department and switching agents (or possibly companies) because of this experience. Avoid this office if you expect basic respect and accountability.
