I used to respect Lowe’s as a company that publicly supports veterans and the armed forces. They run patriotic ads, honor military discounts, and present themselves as champions of American values. But installing a Flock Safety camera in their parking lot sends a completely different message. You can’t wave the flag with one hand and surveil everyone with the other. A Flock camera isn’t just a basic security camera — it’s an automated license plate reader that scans, logs, and stores vehicle data. That means employees, contractors, and customers are all being tracked every time they come and go. For a company that claims to stand behind the very people who defend our freedoms, this feels like a massive contradiction. Supporting the armed forces should mean supporting privacy, trust, and individual liberty — not participating in a growing culture of surveillance. If this is about “safety,” then be transparent. Tell employees exactly what’s being collected, how long it’s stored, who has access to it, and whether law enforcement is tied into the system. Blind surveillance doesn’t build loyalty. It builds distrust. If Lowe’s truly values the principles it advertises, it should reconsider whether installing a system designed to track and catalog vehicles aligns with those values. Because right now, it looks less like support for freedom — and more like corporate hypocrisy.

My refrigerator delivery was and continues to be a nightmare. First failed attempt at delivery was understandable. My driveway still had snow on it. Though, I didn't appreciate the delivery guys lying about knocking on my door and saying I wasn't home. The next day, they pulled my refrigerator out and then refused to touch the copper line. They wanted to drop the new one in my garage without installing it or taking away the old one (despite having paid for installation and removal). I went into the store and talked to a very kind associate, and he explained company policy and how to turn off the water. I said that I wouldn't be able to physically detach the line myself because of the tight space and lack of tools. He made it sound like that was okay. They wouldn't hook up the water, but would plug in the new refrigerator to save my food, then haul away the old one. I called the 800 number to verify and make sure I had everything I needed and that the delivery guys could handle unscrewing the line. It was not okay. I ended up with a new refrigerator in the middle of my kitchen, plugged in with a extension cord, and the old one pulled halfway out. I am lucky to have a boyfriend who was able to unhook the waterline, but the whole headache feels worse due to the poor communication on Lowe's part. If they had given me instructions or a print out up front, I would have understood everything I needed to do and could have saved everyone a lot of time and effort. The delivery guys were nice, but also unable to communicate with me due to a language barrier. One of the poor guys was hurt and limping, and when asked if he was okay, he said no. I was frustrated, but I also felt bad for them! They appear to be overworked, and I imagine these types of interactions are frustrating for them too! Edit: I upgraded from 1 to a 3 stars, because at the end of the day, even with three different delivery attempts, an extra haul away appointment, and poor communication, I still have a working refrigerator.

Went to check out, no cashiers. Self check out only. I'll shop at Menards where they have someone to check me out.

Employee Mike in appliances was more than helpful. His customer service was over the top. Very kind and informative making our purchase pleasurable. The only unfortunate issue was when his manager or supervisor came at the end of our transaction and attempted to be humorous by giving Mike a hard time and used the Lord's name in vein. Will not deter us from returning, we just feel it was unprofessional and inappropriate. Merry Christmas Mike. Thanks again
