Not very happy took my great-grandmother's mantle clock to be repaired it was having issues with slipping and not keeping time correctly they called me up with an estimate for a overhaul $350.00 after being reassured that they work on clocks all the time especially in this age group being extremely old and a family heirloom that means a great deal to me I was assured that they could fix it and get it working again after waiting about 5 months get a phone call back my clock is ready. go to wind the clock the face no longer lines up with the mechanism the entire mechanism is loose (extra screws) in the bottom of my mantle clock it was never remounted properly. So at this point because I'm extremely upset . my fiance to go talk to them they told her that it was just a (slight adjustment) that needed to be made unfortunately I'm not willing to have the clock go back it was there for around 5 months any major or minor adjustments should have been made at that point in time if the clock was unfixable or it needed more work I would have been fine with paying for it that as long as it came back in better condition unfortunately not. The only thing I can say that they did right was give a full refund without arguing so I guess it's a wash

Very displeased with this business. After reading reasonable reviews I left an item for refurbishment. They called with an estimate and I approved. After this point it became very difficult to communicate with them. I was put on hold for 10+ minutes while they searched for the status of my item. I was told I would be called back and never was. When I called again they eventually told me my item was ready for pickup and they would be open until 3pm the next day. I arrived at the store and it was completely closed. Staff is unknowledgeable. I will not bring business here again.
Follow-up. I went in to pickup my item. It was handed to me in a ziplock bag. I’m unfamiliar with how refurbishment typically works for timepieces but the item still had stains on the face and discoloration around the edges. The receipt said “repair” but I specifically asked for refurbishment. More than once. My understanding was that it would be repaired and at least an attempt made to clean and improve the appearance. The women said there was a one year warranty for it included, but that wasn’t written anywhere. Not that it matters because I’m seriously disappointed and after spending $190 I won’t be bringing anything back here.

The store smelled weird, was disorganized, and Their prices are outrageously misaligned with the market, sometimes 50% higher than other retailers selling the exact same pieces.
And whatever you do, do NOT drop off your clocks for repair here. Anyone in the store can mess with them—they’re just left sitting in boxes out in the open aisles. Save yourself the frustration and take your business somewhere that actually values quality and customers.

Was a little disappointed when I took a small musical pendalum clock to have the pendalum fixed. I was told they didn't fix that kind of clock but they advertise all types and ages clocks that they fix. They offered to have someone they know look at it and would call me with a quote. I waited a week and noone called me. I finally called there to be told that the person that they had look at it wanted more to fix it then what it was worth. $200. Waste of my time.

Hawkins Clocks is one of the last clock repair places in the Milwaukee area. They rebuilt my great grandparents' clock from 1909 and it has worked perfectly for past seven years. I highly recommend their work.
