My 1st ever time at a Lowe's and this place sucked. It was early afternoon on a Wednesday and not busy by any means. I parked and passed a fella taking a pull off the old Penjamin on my way in. I find myself in lighting electrical struggling to find an accessory, no associate in sight while walking down 2 aisles to ask for help, so I pressed some anti theft cage assistance button which brought a keyholding fella from not that department who tells me he can't help me and that, I'm not shitting you, "Dave's the guy you wanna talk to but he's not here right now, he's on lunch. Can you wait that long or maybe come back? " I'm old school, I knew this might be my once in a lifetime opportunity. I needed to confirm. "So what you're telling me is Dave's not here...and nobody else can help me?" He says again, "no, Dave's not here" How I kept a straight face, I don't know... Disappointed, my next quest was to get 4 4' pressure treated 2x8, common stock in most any lumberyard which this place doesn't, but they will cut an 8' in half. If the saw worked. Which it didn't. And idk, you'd think that in a store that sells saws, you'd think they'd just use 1 of those to replace it but apparently that's just not possible, sorry. I left without the purpose to justify the trip, but with a terrible 1st impression and shopping experience. On my journey to the menards a good minute down the road, I did wonder if that was Dave I'd passed on my way in...

My experience at the Delavan Lowe’s was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to share it. I came in specifically to inquire about purchasing the Yukon Cornelius and Hermey the Elf animatronic displays — items that are completely sold out online, unavailable at every Lowe’s in the region, and only being resold on eBay for double or triple the original price. Knowing how hard these items are to find, I approached the staff politely, explained the situation clearly, and was ready to pay full price on the spot. Instead of receiving the basic respect and customer service any shopper deserves, I was spoken to rudely, dismissed without any real explanation, and treated like my request didn’t matter at all. Watching other customers receive friendly assistance while I was brushed off made the experience even more upsetting. What makes this treatment even more unacceptable is what happened afterward. I drove to the Lowe’s in Lake in the Hills, Illinois, and the difference was night and day. The staff there were respectful, professional, and willing to actually check availability. Once they confirmed that Yukon and Hermey were sold out online and in every other store, they had no problem selling both display units to me. They treated me like a valued customer — something the Delavan store failed to do. The contrast between the two stores was shocking. Delavan made me feel unwelcome, dismissed, and singled out for no clear reason, while Lake in the Hills treated me with fairness, dignity, and professionalism. The Delavan location needs serious improvement in how they speak to and treat their customers. No one should leave a store feeling the way I did.

Found something advertised cheaper online. Went to click the link to purchase it. The item was a good $100 then originally advertised. They wouldn’t price match

I’ve been a loyal Lowe’s customer for a very long time. Unfortunately, my hometown store didn’t have what I needed, so I had to drive all the way to the Devan, Wisconsin location. The woman working at the Pro Desk today was very unpleasant and had a bad attitude. It was a disappointing experience, and honestly, it will deter me from ever coming back to this location. Despicable service.

Been to the Delavan store many times and the employees are ALWAYS very helpful, as I usually have questions re: where can I find this item, or, do you carry this brand, etc. I am NOT kidding, everyone who works there whom I have run into in the store or garden dept. have always been top notch. Even picking up mulch this spring, both the checkout lady and the young man loading 10 heavy bags into my van, we're both professional and polite. The prices have gone up on just about everything at Lowe's but I dont want to buy EVERYTHING at Walmart next door.... so I recommend this Lowe's if you want a "step up" in quality of items.
