  Do not rent here. They will triple rent within 2 months of start date. They do not plow when snowing and have not fixed a broken garage door for 6 months. It is criminal what management does at this location. Many times the code access doors are offline so you are unable to enter the facility when that happens. STAY AWAY!!!!!

  2nd time renting Extra Space Storage in Brookfield,WI. The office personnel are courteous, helpful and just plain nice. The faculty is top notch! Thank you!

  What does a person look for in a storage facility, aside from the obvious (location)? I'll tell you what I was hoping for. 1. A place that keeps my stuff protected 2. Easy and safe access 3. Responsiveness to any problems that may arise 4. Good, honest pricing And what I got was: 1. A leaky roof, and being told to empty my unit to fix the problem. Fortunately I argued my way out of that stipulation because we had a tidy and organized space. 1.5: A leaky roof - yes I'm repeating this because the problem occurred again, and I just dealt with it by way of a strategically placed bucket until I left my unit for good. So if your storables need to stay hydrated, I've got a unit for you that just vacated! 2. The app to open the gate worked exactly twice over the course of almost a year. Most of the time the geofencing was faulty and wouldn't let me open the gate from my phone. 3. After a big snow and ice storm, the entire lot was left unplowed for over a week, leaving glare ice with zero traction for shoes or tires. I complained 3 times, only to be given excuses about the plow company not showing up. This is a major safety issue and there are other plow companies in the world, figure it out. 4. Pricing is weird and gimmicky with higher prices if you take advantage of the first month free promotion; just give me an honest and decent price, quit over-complicating it. 5. Should any of the above issues not be resolved to your satisfaction, can you call a corporate number to have these issues addressed? Absolutely not. Every number you call leads you right back to the local branch that you're renting from. Got a problem with your local management not taking action on plowing and salting? Tough luck, go get some knee pads and a helmet. Suffice it to say I am thrilled to have found a shop space for my business so I don't have to worry about my employees slipping and injuring themselves.
