When I went to returned it they said it had been in contact with water so they could not take it back. I reminded them it was a submersible pump and I would not know it didn’t work unless it came in contact with water. The manager parroted the same lines when he came. I was simply asking them to be decent humans. They sold me an item for over one hundred dollars that didn’t work and I was only after replacing it with one that worked. Unfortunately that didn’t work. So Lowe’s got a $118 richer and the manager and I both lost a small piece of our soul, me for being way to angry about it and him for upholding the company profits over doing the right thing. Will never step foot in there again.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
