We recently purchased a loveseat and couch from the Silverdale La-Z-Boy location. Jayden was our salesman, and he was excellent, knowledgeable, attentive, and very helpful in guiding us to exactly what we wanted.
Unfortunately, the problems began with the delivery. The furniture was scheduled to arrive on Friday, November 28, between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. I confirmed this date and time with the delivery company on Wednesday, November 26, and I have a screenshot of the confirmation. I even took the day off work to be available.
The delivery never arrived. After waiting past the scheduled window, I contacted the Silverdale location. At that point, Jayden informed me that he had received an email earlier that morning canceling the delivery. I was never notified of this cancellation, which left me waiting unnecessarily for a truck that never came.
Following multiple phone calls and even an in-person visit to the store, I ultimately decided to cancel my order and request a refund. The refund process itself was another frustrating ordeal, taking more than 24 hours to resolve and I am still uncertain whether it has been fully processed.
Bottom line: While the sales experience was positive, the communication and accountability after the sale were extremely poor. La-Z-Boy did not take responsibility for the delivery failure (despite using a third-party service), and the management team showed little urgency or interest in resolving the issue. It feels as though the company prioritizes making the sale but offers little support afterward.
I hope you take this feedback seriously, as improving communication and accountability after the sale would greatly enhance the customer experience.
I hope the La-Z-Boy corporate office and Silverdale Management team sees this and works on after experience support. I was really looking forward to my couches, but I needed up taking my business elsewhere because of their follow up communications and unreliable delivery team.
