  Working with Haley was phenomenal - you don’t see her kindness much in Seattle. She greeted me at the door and made me feel welcome. No pressure tactics all customer service. I felt comfortable renting after working with her.

  You rent about 20% less space in sq ft than they list. Their 5' x 10' measures 4' 4" x 9' 5" (under 42 sq ft instead of 50 sq ft they advertise). Their 5' x 8' measures 4' 3" x 7' 5" (under 32 sq ft instead of 40 sq ft they state). After I informed them about the real dimensions, they refused to do anything and said that their agreement states that the measurements are approximate. The legal term for "approximate" is up to 10% difference, and they said the rental contract has nothing to do with the legal definitions :) I rented a few 5 x 10 units before and always measured them (they all were truly 5 x 10), and this one was the 1st I did not measure when I started moving in. I just noticed the space was wrong and then measured it. P.S. I called the business after the business replied and asked me to call them. The person on the phone said "Oh no, you don't need to call us!" This is a deceptive business practice, not the "inconvenience" as the business called it.

  Helped a friend move this week and I must say, this is one of the nicest storage facilities I've ever come to encounter. Haley was awesome and very knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend to anyone needing a unit in the Ballard area!

  Haley was a HUGE help with our move in! We didn’t realize this facility has more limited hours than other Extra Space facilities in the area and she was flexible enough to help us get that one last load in before everything was locked down. THANK YOU!

  HUGE scam - stay away! Their rental agreement is month-to-month so they can exponentially raise your rates with less than 30 days notice. I received a postcard (!!) in the mail from them saying they are raising the rate 57% starting in 20 days. This is despite the fact that everything else I have done with them (including signing the rental agreement) has been done online and I have an account with their online portal. They have not sent an email, put a notification in my online account, or otherwise contacted me. They are clearly hoping people will throw away the postcard assuming it is junk mail and not be aware of the absurd increases. Would absolutely not recommend these con artists.
