Was a little difficult to find help here. Was simply looking for a Christmas tree before Christmas and asked about 5 different people where they are located and no one seemed to know or care to help aside from the last person I spoke too. Conversing with each other amongst employees seems to be the higher priority here. Not a good look for a customer service business. Only saving grace was the last lady I spoke to otherwise would have been a 1 star.

Today, I was reminded why as a pro contractor, I prefer Home Depot over Lowes. Due to my saw breaking on a job site, i found myself in need of a 10” dual bevel sliding miter saw, 10 min from North seattle branch. I ran there to buy their Skil miter saw for $229. they were out, i offered to buy their display full price, which the floor supervisor declined. I asked if they were able to sell me their Kobalt 10” dual bevel ($299) for the same price as the Skil, which out have been $80 discount. Without giving it any thought the supervisor said no. I have been in these situations before at Homedepot and their management was easily able to take between $50 to $100 off to accommodate a pro. extremely dissatisfied in their flexibility. Ended up just driving down the street to Home Depot and buying a Ryobi saw. I appreciate your flexibility Lowe’s. Maybe you should work on that if you want to attract pros instead of homeowners.

Ken and the nice man at the Christmas tree checkout (Omar?) were super helpful. And they have a nice selection of trees!

TLDR: The whole shopping/delivery/installation experience was great, like a sundae, and instead of ROHAN and “MANAGER” in customer care putting a cherry on the top with a simple and easy fix, they took a huge dump all over it. I will never shop at Lowe's again because they don’t stand behind their products or service, and have no regard for customer satisfaction over “corporate policies.” Which is a shame because all my appliances seem to nearing the end of their lifespan. Patrick in appliances was great! Very knowledgeable and patient while helping me find a range ($800). And he is the eventual hero in this saga. The delivery and installation by Omar and Edwin was on time and went smoothly. I noticed a small ding on a burner cap and thought, this will rust, I should get a new one, should be easy! Patrick helped me locate the part number and directed me to Lowe’s customer care to get a refund for the amount of the burner cap so I could buy a new one on GEs site when it was in stock. Did ROHAN and his “MANAGER” (Rohan would not give me the name) in customer care help me with this simple and easy fix? NO. Rohan kept putting me on hold to check with his manager multiple times (once saying I should hold for the manager who never came) and made it unbearably difficult to resolve this simple issue. Eventually, he said if I didn’t want to accept the “appeasement” thereby nulling my ability for any future action from Lowes if my stove was faulty (like not being able to use my 30-day return window) that I could exchange the range for a whole new one. Yeah, he actually said that instead of just refunding me the cost of buying the $10 burner cap I could have Lowe’s bring me another brand new range and haul away my perfectly good range. I asked to speak to this illusive manager who was clearly terrible at offering advice to misguided ROHAN in the several interludes. I gave up after waiting 10 mins on hold. So, I called Patrick and he was amazing and helped me in minutes. EASY PEASY and not the end of the corporate policy world! No compensation for my wasted time and awful experience of course. Believe me, if Patrick wasn’t able to help, I was absolutely going to go the malicious compliance route of returning a perfectly good stove for a brand new one ala ROHANS genius idea, all for a $10 burner cap, just so Lowe’s could eat it. Now I wish I did.
