Lowe's changes return policies with no notice. I purchased a few things for Christmas the week of Black Friday and specifically asked the employee what the return policy was. He told me I had 90 days to return if I decided I didn't want the item. I purchased several items including an expensive Christmas tree and was very happy with most of them. I then went aways for Christmas and as soon as I returned tried to return a new, unopened Christmas tree storage bag with my receipt. The clerk at the return desk shows me a flyer from Lowe's with a policy dated 12/8/2025 saying I only had until December 24 to return. Well, I purchased the item on 11/20/2025 and there were no notices anywhere at that time saying I couldn't return this item. Plus I asked an employee about the return policy the day I bought the item. It's an inexpensive item but it's very frustrating and DECEPTIVE that I can't return this item when I see they still have this exact item out on an aisle to sell! Also, the employees at this store are experts at hiding from customers to avoid helping them. I see this every time I go. You walk in to their department to start looking around and they run away! Happens all the time and I have been going there several years now. I wish there was another Lowe's close by. I guess I will start driving to the Mill Creek location and check them out and see if that store is any better. But after this, I won't be buying any big ticket or seasonal items at Lowe's based on their deceptive policies.

They never have what you need, and when they do, it's always over priced. As for the employees.,.,. Although a couple of the employees have been there for a few years, this Lowe's has a high turnover. Every time I've gone in there, there's always new employees that don't know where anything is located and the older employees have become grumpy and either pass questions on to othes or just say the store doesn't carry an item (Even if it's a paint brush). The management... Don't get me started on them. There's one that is very informative when he's around, but don't even try speaking to the others.

Tried to return a new unopened electric chainsaw 20 days after purchased. Was told that it can only be returned in 48 hours. Two representatives maintained this position. On the website the policy clearly states that this is only when used and has an exception when unused or unopened. Now I need to make another trip out to get this retuned. What a pain!
