We have a mission: Help people make coffee they love! Part of the way we do that is opening retail locations, so you can mosey on in and test as many machines as you'd like before purchasing. Not only do we have a wide selection of equipment set up for customer demos, but you'll also have a chance to talk with our awesome (trust us, they're pretty cool) coffee experts who can help you make a selection. Or, if you already have a machine or other caffeine-providing setup, you can attend our vendor events, coffee tastings, classes and how-to workshops. The possibilities are endless!
Feedback on customer service is mixed, with some praising the knowledgeable and helpful staff, while others report poor experiences, including unresponsive support and rude interactions.

Several customers reported receiving defective or damaged products, leading to dissatisfaction with the company's quality control.

In-Store Experience

Pricing Concerns
Some customers expressed frustration over perceived price manipulation during sales and dissatisfaction with the value of products compared to competitors.

Purchased a $9.99 Rocket 4-Hole Steam Tip (plus $6 shipping) that was widely reported to fit my Profitec Pro 700 Gen 2. It didn’t—the threads were incompatible.
When I requested a return, Seattle Coffee Gear labeled it a “remorse return” since their staff hadn’t personally confirmed fitment. I accepted paying return shipping myself, but they also deducted a $4.65 “handling fee” from my refund for “processing and restocking.”
For a 2-ounce, sub-$10 item, losing the original shipping, paying return postage, and then getting hit with nearly half the product price in fees feels excessive and unfair. Customer service was polite but rigid, offering no flexibility.
Disappointing policy from a specialty retailer. I’ll take my business to more customer-friendly espresso vendors in the future.

Big thanks to Jacob. We bought a new Baratza grinder and Jacob was super helpful in getting it all put together (adding the shims) and dialed in for the right grind weight and size. Highly recommend Jacob and Seattle Coffee Gear in Kirkland!

Disappointed. Ordered and paid for a Delonghi Explore Eletta- waited about a month and SCG would not give me an ETA. In the month prices went up $500 on SCG site and increased elsewhere too. I have no need to do business with SCG in the future.

I would add zero stars if I could. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR ONLINE STORE!!! I made multiple online orders with Seattle Coffee Gear and each time the order was cancelled (several hours later). Customer service would only state that their fraud department cancelled the order and I should try other payment methods. I used several payment methods and cleared the transaction with my bank, but to no avail. When I requested the issue be elevated, the customer service agent simply ignored my request and blamed the fraud department again. This time of year, when gifts are being purchased and timing is important, you would expect better from a company trying to earn business. NEVER AGAIN!

Parker at Seattle Coffee Gear is incredible. he only sold us a fantastic machine, but he spent so much time with us on two different visits teaching us how to use it, how to calibrate everything, and even how to optimize for our own taste and skill set. it was so helpful for a couple of newbies that I would say it would be almost crazy to buy a coffee machine from any other place for your first espresso machine. Thank you Parker and thank you to the entire team at Coffee Gear.
