It really is a one stop shopping place. Especially in that area.for the homeowner looking to do projects around the house, they have what you need. Customer service is a hit and miss. But it is a destination stop. The biggest issue is not Lowe's, but the unsavory and criminal elements it draws in. As a contractor and having to carry around tools its a good idea to leave someone with truck. For the DIY people, dont leave valuables in vehicle, and lock your doors.

In general, I’d give them a 4, but after my last experience, I’m extremely disappointed that Lowe’s has not done more to resolve my current issue. Not even any urgency. We’ve now been living with two living rooms worth of furniture in one for two months because of Lowe’s contractor’s poor work. Highly recommend paying more for someone better. We purchased flooring thru Lowe’s who scheduled a contractor to install. It has been the worst experience we’ve had with a contractor. They only scheduled ONE person to remove and install our flooring. It took him from 8 am to 5/5:30pm. It interrupted my work schedule and was not supposed to take that long for such a small area. So, when he finished and we pointed out some issues, he didn’t have explanations AND if he did, he has a thick accent, which is totally fine, but it was impossible to understand/communicate. The corners of the steps were not softened down, so they are sharp. Also, there are nails sticking up, so if someone steps barefoot, they could injure themselves. There is a gap between one transition from the floor to the first step. He didn’t seem to think it was a problem. He cut off too much of the trim around the fireplace so had to attach smaller pieces to close the gaps. To a guest, probably does not stand out but for the purchasers who expect quality work, those extra pieces were clearly glued in. Also, we currently have baseboards and shared the dimensions with Lowe’s. Lowe’s never discussed them further with us. So, the contractor ASSUMED that we wanted quarter inch rounds ON TOP of the existing baseboards without asking us. They are cheap/ugly looking and done poorly., as there are still gaps all around. Also, he glued the crap out of the transitions. Left silicone glue all over. We called the contractor and asked them to send us someone new, they sent him again. When I pointed out the nails on the step, he went to his car to grab glue and color matching markers. I asked what he was doing and he said it would fix the problem. At that point, I knew the problems were going to become bigger problems. I asked him to leave and we asked the contractor to send us someone new again. Apparently they are not allowed to. So, a regional representative is supposed to come with him while he fixes each issue. Lowe’s has done absolutely NOTHING to help, even though this is really their fault. They hired a cheap contractor and did not add the baseboard work to our work order to begin with. We have been told by external parties that because of the way he installed the flooring, he will likely have to remove all the flooring along the baseboards and they will likely break. If that happens, Lowe’s surely better have a plan in place because this is absolutely ridiculous already.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
