    I would like to recognize Mark from the Plumbing Department for providing truly outstanding customer service. Before coming to this store, I had already visited three different Lowe’s and Home Depot locations trying to find specific plumbing parts. In most cases, associates asked if I needed help, but the interaction usually ended quickly with “we don’t have that.” Mark’s approach was completely different. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely interested in helping me solve the problem. Within seconds he understood exactly what I needed and was able to locate the correct parts right away. On top of that, he also suggested a few alternative options that could work for my situation, which I really appreciated. His expertise, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made a huge difference in my experience. Employees like Mark are the reason customers choose to come back. He absolutely deserves recognition for the level of service he provides.

    I was shopping at this location on Pac Highway for two hours to try and design a lock mechanism for my service doors on my utility box truck and figure out how to fix the hairline crack in my cabover thats leaking into my sleeper. I was having trouble getting things to fit the service door as a replacement for the original lock cylinder so i was looking around for awhile in the hardware department and then paint. Nobody asked me if I needed any help but after about an hour a police officer wakes up to my cart and was looking inside it and I asked him if there was a problem when he replied "no I was just looking at all the random stuff you got and wondering what you're doing" so I was pretty insulted but I went ahead and explained to him that it was random that everything in the cart had a purpose for one of three different projects I was facing and one of which was critical to stay dry when I was going to be using my sleeper here in Seattle over this coming week as I would be traveling around for work. The other stuff is just in limbo as I try and figure out how to secure my 6 service doors since I lost the keys and couldn't lock them anymore and had recently had been broken into and some of my equipment was taken. The entire conversation felt very imposing and challenging on his part causing me to feel very unwelcome and blatantly feeling accused of being a liar and a thief. I really wanted to just leave the cart right where it sat and walk out of that store and never return. But then that would leave them to believe that their assumptions were correct. Well I needed my lock assembly from my truck to be sure the depth of the replacement lock cylinder was gonna work and I told the female employee that was standing on the same isle as me pretending to be working that I needed to go to my truck and get my lock mechanism to be sure the stuff I had in the cart would work and asked that she not put my things away as I would be returning to purchase the items I needed very soon. I went and got the handle and came back and there was a woman already bringing my cart to the customer service department and I stopped her and got it back. I was gone less than 3 minutes. Then later I stopped the manager and asked her where something was and she told me it was along the back isle and that they would be closing in 10 minutes. So I went and looked for the item and couldn't find it. So by now I had spoken with 4 employees and the police officer that was there so they all knew what I was doing and all my business and that's why I was very upset to return from looking for the vinyl product the manager had sent me to the back of the store for to find that my cart had been taken to customer service and two hours of my time had been wasted as the police officer told me they put it all away. I knew they hadn't had time to do that and I also knew they all knew it was my cart and delibertly took my cart and hid it in the office thus calling me a thief and all being cowards when I questioned where my stuff was and each playing dumb and pretending not to know who or where it was. So I now had only parts of the project and not another minute to shop and get the items I had in my cart so I ended up buying the items in my hand and let them all know I was insulted and would be writing this to make a complaint to anyone who cared about this sort of thing. If you go to this store to shop longer than 30 minutes you're going to be treated as if you're a thief and they're going to be shadowing you and following you around it they don't have anyone in the store. It's not a place to take your customers to plan their kitchen or bathroom remodel that's for sure. I wouldn't take your customers to the garden department and make an order for her plants and landscaping ideas bc they'll be treating you as if you're a known thief and its going to embarrass the hell out of you in front of your customer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!! THERE'S NEVER ANYONE IN THERE AND THAT MUST BE THE REASON BC OF THEIR OVERLY ABUSIVE SECURITY TACTICS THAT ACCUSE THEIR CUSTOMERS.

    This Lowe’s location in Kent looks fairly new and feels larger than many of the stores I’ve visited in the Seattle area. The store itself is clean, spacious, and seems to have a good selection of products. Unfortunately, the service during our visit was extremely disappointing. We stopped in to do a very simple return and ended up waiting over 15 minutes. There were 7–8 associates assisting just two customers at the returns counter. At one point, two associates were on the phone while another cashier leaned against the wall instead of stepping in to help the growing line. When we asked about opening another register, we were told there weren’t any available — despite there clearly being another register right beside the cashier. I understand that some returns can be complicated, but there are professional ways to manage a line and communicate with waiting customers. The lack of urgency, poor coordination, and dismissive attitude made the experience frustrating. The store itself may be nice, but customer service matters. Based on this visit, I won’t be returning to this location.
