- RRRichard RegaladoNov 14, 20251.0Not a secure storage facility. My unit got broken into and $1800 worth of bikes got stolen. When I asked the front desk if they had a recording, they said “No”. Apparently there are very very few cameras, only ones at entrances which also apparently didn’t capture video of people leaving the building with my stuff. Don’t trust this place with your stuff unless you don’t care about it and want to pay rent on a unit that may or may not get broken into with no consequence.

The customer service getting in the door was good, the price was decent and that's where it stops. I should not have moved my stuff in. First of all, the building/area I am in has a huge bump and if you use a cart like most people do with moving things, things fall off super easily. If you have any slight physical ailments don't even think about it. Several of my items were broken and have been broken or I can't even get in the door because it is difficult to get over the bump and then the door bump. Might sound petty but when you start having broken items multiple times it's pretty annoying and unnecessary considering this has never been an issue at any storage place and literally all I'm trying to do is to get into the door to get to my storage unit. The second issue I've had here is a MASSIVE rent increase. My rent went from $110 to over $200. I called and asked about it and they lowered it by $30 from the increase. A favor? Better than the initial but still a huge %. My previous storage facilities never raised my rent. The other problems I've encountered here is my neighbors across the way are hoarders. Piles and piles to the ceiling. The entire facility reeks of I'm not sure what and as gross as it was and mildly annoying as it was, it didn't bother me until I brought something home that someone wanted to purchase and I cannot sell it because the odor is so foul. As soon as my weekend allows, I will be moving my stuff out of here and not be letting Extra Space take any more of my money or ruin any more of my belongings.
