Always have great customer service and selection at Lowe's. I really wanted this abominable snowman, but my wife said, "No."

I switched to Lowes after years of shopping at Home Depot because I thought Lowes would be a better place to spend the $000s that I do every year on home improvement/gardening products and services. But I've had reasons to think twice since making that decision. On two different occassions when I've had to speak to their female shop floor staff, I've noticed one or more male staff, previously nowhere to be found, suddenly show up and ask "is everthing ok here?". The first time this happened I was in the garden center trying to get advice on plants I was considering for my front garden. I did ask the lady for assistance, so when the guy showed up asking the question, though I noticed the unsual nature of the intervention and thought it was rather cynical that this guy would think to check into the safety of the white girl talking to the black guy, I put this first incidence down to the guy's own sick mentality, made my purchase and went about my way. The 2nd time the samething happened was four days ago. I'd stopped by to pick up Miracle Gro for the same Tea Roses I'd bought on the previous occassion. I also wanted to see if they stocked the same soil revitalising products, I normally order from Amazon. I was in the aisle scanning the shelves for liquid Humic Acid products for my lawn when some woman wearing the Lowes waistecoat with badges that indicated she worked there approached and greeted me. At this point, I had no recollection of what had happened before. So I responded to rhe greeting thinking she was here to see if I needed help. Turns out she was there to sell me Leaffilter's gutter protection. I normally would have ended the conversation the minute I realized she was there to sell stuff but because I'd considered having gutter protection installed in the past, I decided to hear her out. So she was there getting my details so she could set up an appointment for someone to visit my home to provide a free estimate, and lo and behold, who showed up? A cavalry of three male staff, as it appeared, come to check on 'Alexis' to make sure she is alright with exact same question as before: "Is everything ok here?" Now, I don't know if this happens to every male customer speaking to a female Lowes staff or if it's happened to me twice because in the eyes of the people at this Lowes outlet I fit the profile of a predator, but I resent with every fibre of my being the idea of being profiled and having criminal potential projected on to my person in this sneaky, underhanded way when all I'm doing is what millions of Americans do everyday - shopping at a home improvement/DIY store?! Why would it be ok for this stranger purporting to be a Lowes employee to approach Lowes customers and collect personal information including home address, phone number, whoelse is on the mortgage title, etc., in the name of selling a Lowes partner service while you project suspicions on to the customer. There's something seriously wrong with that! I should point out that on another occassion when I was shopping for bags of marble stones I got help from a male staff who spent a considerable amount of time assisting me with loading this heavy bags on to my cart and nobody rushed over to save him from me. Guessing it must be just the female staff you must not be seen with if you fit a certian profile🤨

Needed about 5 things. There was nobody in the store to help me and no cash or self.Check out only my $55 project.I spent about three dollars at their store. I went down the street to Home Depot to gentlemen helped me and I spent the rest of my budget to get my project going. Very sad experience at Lowe's.
