Big inventory, the workers don't suck, and they actually help you when you need it.

Absolutely the worst place to shop for home improvement. The service at Lowes is horrible. Zero care given by staff, minimal actual knowledge by anyone about building or products, and bad corporate policies. I’ve spoken to management and the attitude and response by staff clearly demonstrate that they don’t care, bound by corporate jargon and no empowerment. As an avid DIY’er, frequent home improvement spender and service advocate - I can’t stress enough how much better the completion is. Avoid pain, frustration and issues by shopping at Home Depot, Ace or a local supplier.

OK SO ON THE LOW...➡️👉Be sure you READ their "hard to find" "maybe that's it", "super not sure," fine print that moves around on the page. Because I searched for several items saw that they were in stock and went to the store only to find out after three employees couldn't figure it out either that the item while they do carry it's not physically available to purchase you have to purchase online only which then a date and time per scheduling delivery is attached. - That's just SUPER! 😑

I purchased a chainsaw and was told I had 30 days to return it if it didn’t meet my needs. I brought it back well within the 30 days and was told there is a different policy. Instead of trying to help me out the customer service at this store simply told me they can’t do anything and sent me on my way. Now I’m stuck with equipment I’m not going to use and I feel like I was misguided by the store representatives. Will never shop here again.

April 7/26 update: On March 26, I called the number provided in the company's reply to my review and was given a case number and I was told that someone would follow up with me. I hadn't received any updates, so I called again today (April 7) and was told by the Lowe's rep that the case was open but had been forwarded to a third party logistics company to "report your negative experience" but that they "don't follow up unless they need more information." So I guess that's that then? Great to know I wasted even more time on the phone getting nowhere... So once again: if you need something custom and/or time-sensitive for your project, you may want to shop elsewhere... Original review: 1 custom window in a batch of 8 arrived broken and unusable for my project. I had a contractor booked to install the windows a couple of days later. Because Lowe's lead time for a replacement was 4 weeks, I had to order a replacement window from a competitor who could do it in 2. In the meantime, we have plastic sheets tacked up to the exterior wall to try to keep the rain out and I'll be paying out-of-pocket for my contractor to make a second trip (with an assistant) to finish the job. I went into the store to ask for compensation for these additional costs and for additional time spent. Speaking of time spent, I stood waiting at the millwork desk in the store for more than 20 minutes on a Friday night waiting to speak to the Manager only to be told this would have be "handled by corporate." When the contact center called me back, I was offered a $100 gift card. $100 is not nothing, but that won't even cover the contractor's call out, let alone any additional expenses... a point that I reiterated to the agent on the phone. My issue was escalated to an executive customer relations manager, who contacted me by phone later the same day. In our conversation, he told me that I scheduled my contractor too soon after the delivery... that I should have waited to book them AFTER the materials arrived, so there would be enough time for a replacement to be sent if there were any issues with the delivery. This is corporate gaslighting at its finest... Not sure if Lowe's has ever dealt with contractors before, but they often book up far in advance, so we wanted to lock in as soon as the delivery date was confirmed. I guess my mistake was assuming that Lowe's would be able to deliver all of the merchandise - fully intact and useable - on the first delivery?? If you need something custom and/or time-sensitive for your project, you may want to shop elsewhere...
