  If I could give 0 stars I would. I have yet to come to the Bellevue location without issues with the lady who seems to be running the alterations department. There hasn't been a time where she doesn't turn even the simplest things down (we are talking about taking a waist in on a dress) as complicated. Replacing a zipper on the mini dress.. I must be out of my mind to ask that! (I went to the downtown location with no problems and got a zipper change for like $35). The amount of times I have wasted my time driving to Bellevue incl. recently asking to fix a 2-3 inch rip on a winter coat. She charged me over $40 to fix it by hand or offered me a patch, which I would have been fine with if it was just a black patch... instead she had BUTTERFLIES for kids. When I inquired about a black patch, she advised me to buy one on Amazon and come back. I have never had these issues with the downtown store. Unreal. For a high end department store and the alteration prices they charge, this is really unacceptable.

  I purchased a suit jacket and pants from Hugo Boss. The store owner strongly recommended to pay a visit to Nordstrom alteration. I specifically told the lady at the alteration that I didn’t like tight fits. That I wanted more of a straight, relaxed fit. Jacket - arms too short, tight around shoulders. Pants - she turned this into an absolute tight skinny jeans. The seams were cut too short, so when I wore dress shoes you could see the entire shoes. When I wore them together it looked ridiculous. Ended up not wearing the suit to the event. I highly, highly recommend taking your tailor needs elsewhere. Also made me lose confidence in people at the Boss store for recommending this place. Blew my thousand bucks.

  Extremely Disappointed – Alterations Ruined My New Pants I brought in a brand new pair of chino pants for a simple hemming job. When I picked them up, they were still the same length as when I dropped them off — no alteration had been done. I returned to the store, got refitted, and left the pants again for a second attempt. This time, when I picked them up, they had been hemmed far too short — and to make matters worse, the legs were uneven. I was shocked. At that point, I didn’t have the energy to go through the process a third time. I just left the store, deeply disappointed. The pants are now ruined and I’ll need to buy a new pair. What should have been a routine alteration turned into a total disaster. I wish I had read the reviews before trusting Nordstrom Alterations. Nordstrom used to be known for high quality and attention to detail, but that was not my experience.

  Not only did they stain and ruin the fabric on my $300 gown, they also insisted on making the darting they added completely asymmetrical even after I asked to double check this. Save yourself the trip and go to your local dry cleaner.
