- BBBeverly BrenanJul 12, 20213.0It was an "OK" experience. I've had keys made at Lowes before, and appreciated that there was an older gentleman being paid to help customers and make their keys. It's sad that jobs are being lost to machines, and it won't change anytime soon (if ever). That being said, I came home after this machine made my four keys and they worked fine. There were sharp shavings left on 2 of the four that I picked off before sticking them into the lock to test. The 3 stars is because 3 of my keys were made from one of my house keys, and I wanted them different colors/ design as I was giving them to family and neighbors for emergency situations. I did not see an instruction where that could be done, so all the keys had to be identical unless I wanted to stand there and recode the machine 3 times after it completed each key. Maybe that is something that could be corrected (?).
