I usually shop at their main competitor due to proximity and habit, just moving from an area of Atlanta metro where there wasn't a convenient Lowes. Recently needed to replace my 10-year smoke detectors where i had moved, and Lowes carried the brand and model i needed.
I was VERY and pleasantly surprised that when I asked where they were, the floor assistant took me to the aisle, helped me find the model-specific units i needed and walked with me to the nearby self check out and took care of helping me buy.
It was a much different, and pleasant, feeling than my usual go to competitors (they also are friendly and answer most technical questions, but in a more utilitarian manner). Now that I've moved to a new home, both Lowes and the other brand are within a block of each other, and I may start going to Lowes more.

Their new AI system sucks. I was on hold for 15 minutes then as someone came on the line they hung up. All that waiting for nothing. Go to Home Depot they are much better.
