Don’t bother trying buy Kobalt tools for the warranty. They’ll fight you tooth and nail every time to deny you. The nerds working here aren’t privy to their own policies.

Update: They replied below with a "please call us, we're open 7 days a week", so I took time out of my Saturday morning to call...and got an "our office is currently closed."
So it's good to see they're still committed to accuracy and helpfulness.
Still have a $1000 paperweight.
Our fridge went out on Wednesday, I bought a new on on Thursday, it was delivered late on Friday. We plugged it in, it appeared to be working and was cooling. When we went back to check it again the next day, the freezer had never come up to temp and everything was thawing. I thought maybe the outlet was having issues, so we changed where it was plugged in and went to dinner for my birthday.
When we got home, it still wasn't cooling. Unfortunately, by that point, it was past Lowe's absolutely terrible 48 hour *from purchase* return policy.
It is now Wednesday, and I've been getting tossed back and forth between the manufacturer and Lowe's all week. All the manufacturer will do is send out a repair person...at some unspecified time in the future. No offer to replace the brand new appliance that isn't working.
Lowe's won't do anything.
I won't be using Lowe's again. I have a $1000 paperweight because the return window is so tight that it's not even possible to make sure you actually do need to replace it. And the kicker? I bought their extended warranty in case of issues later on, and I won't get that back, either.
