- KJKen JacobsonJun 26, 20201.0Although Charity was very helpful on picking out material. The reupholstery end was a disaster! Please read why.....by scrolling down. Wanting to update after reupholstry...sofa has to be redone. Nap cut wrong,sitting is lopsided ,springs not evenly tied or not at all,cushions were not sewn square,glue spots, double cording not even and dacron not stuffed evenly and can feel tacks thru material on back. Cushions not stuffed as requested ,asked them to be crowned. Entire material sags more after each time sitting. When Tracy came to look at the couch,the cushions were so tight they would look uneven. She said they need to be broken in...wow. I then sat down and got up,and the cushion stayed compressed down. I asked for full refund..manager wanted to give half.Since I was told by another upholsterer the sofa had to be resewn and ENTIRELY redone,I insisted on full(over $2,000 refund.) Manager Tracy Only agreed when I was going further with it on Facebook. It did not seem to matter when I mentioned I was going to corporate to talk to VP store operations mgr.Margaret Thurman. She said go ahead. Hmmm. Their customer satisfactionGuarantee really has to be pushed. And Tracy Mgr. assured me their upholsterer was good. And wanted me to have him redo it. NO WAY !! No apology was given by the manager to mend feelings..from a customer who has supported Calico for years! I did not expect this from a high end fabric store. I will be going to another fabric store from now on.
