The 3rd-party installers were in and out of my home within 5 minutes. They did not install all of the equipment I ordered, charged me $50 to haul away the old washer, and left the space dirty without giving me the chance to clean the area before dropping the new washer in place. What upset me most was their complete lack of respect. When removing the old washer, they pulled out items my 84-year-old mother could not reach, including her undergarments, and threw them into the middle of the street while rushing to leave, saying they had “29 more installs to do.” That was humiliating and unacceptable. On top of that, they dented the walls and the door trim during removal and installation. These were outsourced workers, not actual Lowe’s staff, and there was zero accountability. For the price I paid, I expected professionalism, care, and quality service—not damage, disrespect, and being rushed through like a number. I am furious and now questioning whether I should cancel my upcoming carpet installation. Lowe’s should ensure that their 3rd-party representatives uphold the standards of the Lowe’s brand. A Lowe’s representative should be present to oversee these installs and guarantee customer satisfaction. This was not the experience I paid for, nor what I expected from Lowe’s.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
