It is ridiculous to go to a chain home improvement store for materials needed for an important project only to find that they don’t have them in stock. How many times do I have to visit and be told, “I’m sorry, we don’t have this,” when the website clearly shows it as available? I have to send my wife to get things because we don’t have anyone to watch our kids, leaving me free to continue fixing things around the house. She goes to the Lowe’s in Ruckersville, sits in an aisle with two screaming kids, and waits for an employee—often for 30 minutes or more—with no one in sight. It is a gross understatement to say I am appalled by how Lowe’s treats its customers. The inconsistency between online inventory and in-store availability, combined with the complete lack of staff support, makes the experience infuriating and unacceptable. Also I called corporate and they said “your complaint will be documented”.

I ordered materials hours in advance for curbside pickup at Lowe’s Home Improvement because I was short on time today. Four hours later, I called to check status. Lowe’s AI phone system explicitly said my order was ready and instructed me to park in curbside pickup and wait for the items to be brought out. I waited 30 minutes in curbside with no one coming out. I finally went inside, only to be told they hadn’t even started pulling the order yet, and that it would be another hour to pull what amounted to about 10 minutes worth of materials. At that point, I left—after wasting about an hour and a half of my limited time. To make it worse, an employee later called and told me this was somehow my fault for trusting the AI system Lowe’s uses. That is unacceptable. If your systems say an order is ready when it clearly isn’t, and customers are blamed for believing the information Lowe’s provides, then curbside pickup is meaningless. Experiences like this are exactly why Lowe’s is losing customers.

I absolutely hate this store. The stock is NEVER updated. You check online, drive down there, the shelf is empty. Finally find someone to help you and they confirm it's in stock. Long searches you end up with nothing. Its disappointing when every project ends with having to order something online and wait. This store is useless.

During my recent visit to Lowe’s for an appliance pick up, Amanda in customer service was very helpful in making this an easy task. Thanks, Amanda. Great customer service still exist!
