However, once you’re in, the price increases start quickly. My rent went up about 45%, and then increased another 35% just a few months later. In a very short time I was paying nearly double what I originally signed up for. The notification that says 'market adjustment' came through via post card sized flyer that could have been easily overlooked as well. It feels like their business model is to hook customers with low initial rates and then sharply raise prices once your belongings are stored and it becomes difficult to move out. Long-term customers seem to be stuck absorbing these increases because relocating a storage unit on short notice isn’t easy.
