She was an elderly woman working the early morning shift. I asked her a simple question regarding which self service station accepted cash and card payments because I wanted to use both cash and card with my items. I don’t think she clearly understood why I asked the question or perhaps I misunderstood her answer, however she became impatient and condescending towards me as I was walking in the wrong direction to the checkout counter. When I explained why I had asked the question she scornfully laughed. I chose not to respond to avoid further escalation. She did say have a nice day as I was leaving the store and I politely returned the courtesy. I am sympathetic to customer service issues that may cause an employee to lose their respectful disposition, however, customers are a pivotal part in the success of any business therefore, they should leave their unpleasant attitude at home.

As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
