We're offering safe Alterations services for your convenience. During your in-store Alterations appointment, you can expect a safe environment where a mask is provided to you. Alterations employees will also be staying safe in both a mask and gloves. We'll take precautions such as increased sanitization in fitting rooms. If you had alterations being completed before our store closures and your completed garments are ready for pickup, we'll reach out to coordinate complimentary shipping of items directly to you. If safe Contactless Curbside Pickup is available at your store, you can choose to pick up completed garments via this method or have them shipped to you.

I had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment even though I was early. No one else seemed to be getting alterations at that time either..
Peggy, one of their seamstresses, was going to charge me $90 for a dress hem, single layer. I asked her to explain the high price and she had no explanation just “that is the rate.”
I’ve gotten a dress hem before at Nordstrom and it was actually a reasonable price. After this bad experience I didn’t want to give Nordstrom $90. Went to a local tailor and was charged $40 for the exact same thing.
I highly do NOT recommend Nordstrom alterations. They will definitely up charge and make you wait well after your appointment time.

Very poor service at Tysons I in Virginia. They make customers wait an extremely long time, only to inform them that they cannot complete the requested alterations. This has happened on multiple occasions with different types of requests. However, I was able to have the alterations done elsewhere without any issues, which suggests they may be providing false information simply to avoid taking on additional work.

i came in to tailor a dress and they made me wait 50 minutes and they still didn’t tailor it for me they said they called who ever is supposed to tailor but they didn’t show up. i’m really impatient so waiting 50 minutes is really long for me so I just left. the first 30 minutes i went up to them NICE ASH asking if they’re still coming they said they would call again I waited another 10 minutes asked again and they dismissed me by saying they’re on their way. after 50 minutes I just changed back in to my regular clothes and just left without saying anything. I never give attitude and i’m always so polite to customer service people. I get not wanting to do your job and always being annoyed with customers but 50 MINUTESSSS
