December 2025 I purchased 7 of the "Project Source" brand window blinds with my Lowes credit card. 1 month later, one of the adjuster strings broke. I still had the receipt so I took it back for a refund. The lady working at the return desk was named 'Trish'. She said that without the hardware, I could not return it. I said "ok, let me just replace it with the same blind and we will take the hardware out of the new box & leave it with the defective blind". She refused to do that also. She had a terrible personality & even kept asking how I broke the blind. I finally just said "Cheap quality".
Trish made a simple return of a defective item unnecessarily difficult.

Lowe's has really fallen short on customer service and filling their stock whether from their back stock or from overhead overstock. Their prices aren't as competitive or less than their competitors. Their selection and offerings have also dwindled. I have shopped smaller mom and pop hardware stores as well as franchised locally owned hardware stores and have had better service with the prices very competitive wth Lowe's and better stocked, cleaner and more accessible aisles. I'm happy to pay a very slightly higher price for this convenience.
