    If you’re considering a kitchen remodel through Lowe’s (Leesburg, VA), especially using their virtual designer, be very careful. Our project was supposed to take 6 weeks. It is still not finished even after 6 months. Our problems started the moment we went with the virtual designer. The Cabinet Installer did not even have the designs when they came to install and the miscommunication between the virtual designer and the installer triggered mistake after mistake. Here’s what happened: Multiple cabinets were ordered in the wrong sizes because the virtual designer’s measurements didn’t align with what the installer actually needed. Lowe’s ordered the wrong color cabinets, forcing reorders and long delays. Installation was originally promised for July 7, but without informing us, it was moved to July 17 because of miscommunication between Lowe’s and the installer. Even after reorders, we still received wrong sizes, mismatched cabinets, missing skins, and incorrect doors — resulting in multiple rounds of reinstallation. Countertop templates and installation appointments had to be rescheduled multiple times because parts were missing or incorrect. At the time of installing full backsplash, the pantry countertop couldn’t be installed because Lowe’s hadn’t sent the required paperwork. Our gas cooktop has still not been installed because the virtual sales rep didn’t include the cooktop installation when selling the appliance, and we found out about that after 6 months. As of the latest update, we still don’t have a fully working kitchen entirely due to Lowe’s internal mistakes and miscommunication. The virtual ISST team claims to be the project manager but only documents what is happening and they don’t really manage the project. I had to spend hours making sure the internal Lowes team was coordinating with each other and external Installers. Virtual designer accuracy, and communication between Lowe’s teams were consistently poor. If you’re considering a major kitchen project with Lowe's — especially through the virtual designer service — be prepared for major delays, constant reorders, design errors, and internal miscommunication. Be prepared to be without a working kitchen for at least 6 months. This experience has been exhausting, and I cannot recommend Lowe’s for kitchen installations based on what we are going through.

    Beware of being double charged by rude associates. I went to Lowes in Leesburg to buy a certain size planter and found a set of urn style planters. They are sold as a set, are wrapped up together and the packaging makes it clear they are 2 urns in the set. The bases are a separate piece which is stored in the planter. When I went to pay, the rude associate assumed the bases, which clearly were a part of the urn planter were something I had shoved in there to steal. He kept trying to rip the bases out. They are attached to the planter. No matter what I said he kept trying to rip the base out through the packaging. I told him to stop that he was going to damage the planter. He kept saying there are two and I repeated, yes they are a set. Again, they are plastic wrapped and the packaging clearly says there are two urns in the set. He was so rude he would never respond to what ever I said. It took longer than necessary to check out because of his craziness. I left and when I got home I saw he charged me for two urn sets. I went to get a refund 2 days later, and the manager Laura was worse than the associate. She was unfriendly from the start, never apologized for what happened, made it clear she didn't believe me and was rude the entire time. I had planned to keep the urns and just get a refund for the extra urn set but ended up returning a product I would have kept had it not been for how horrible the people are at this store. This store has horrible management. Update: A representative from Lowes responded to my complaint below but to make things worse I had already called the customer service number and explained what happened and never received a response. I called the number listed below today and found out when I called initially, they did nothing with my complaint and didn't forward to anyone. That's some customer service. No thanks Lowes, I see how much you don't value me as a customer and I will go out of my way to never give you my money in the future.

    After being scorted for less than 700$ on romex wire, and still being questioned if I have scanned all. And still 2 people watching me like Im buying diamonds, will never come back to Lowe's. This is extremely ridiculous.
