"They Took my money". I was extremely Displeased with Poise and etiquette of how our recent experience was handled after things did not go as planned. My business partner and I requested the services of this business to transport Containers that were worked on by myself and my team. After Weeks of Communication, sending pictures, and once the day came for the Service; they then refused being able to complete or attempt the task. The owner (Jake) then Called me on site and spoke to me about miscommunication and that this is a lessoned learned for me and that he will not be sending back any or come to a settlement of the close to $1000 payment that was sent 2 weeks in advance. This Person was extremely disgruntled. Bashing his customer (Myself) and didn't provide a service but expects to keep every cent of our payment. Jake lacked COUTH, MORALITY, and was very unapologetically confrontational. He Hung up the phone while I was speaking with him Professionally. For anyone looking for services through him and his company, I strongly recommend that you get them to send a detailed contractual agreement about what the terms and conditions are; because they will purposely retain information, and will happily take your money without completing the job they were paid and assigned to perform without an itemized receipt & reason for charges if services not rendered.

The son of the owner of this company was disrespectful over the phone when his driver showed up to pick up a container for me and my partner, he even hung the phone up on us, we drove from Farmville to their company address, what a coincidence we see the owners son, and tried to speak which didn’t get anywhere, we left because he started to show signs of wanting to fight. Our client was so upset with how he treated us, she decided to call their office, she got in touch with the owner of the company which is the father of the man we dealt with, our client said the phone call was worst than our encounter with his son, she mentioned him being sexist, not allowing her to talk, & very aggressive ! He didn’t give her legitimate reason why they’re not refunding us and never providing correct service. I’ve never dealt with ppl so angry and no moral that’s supposed to represent a company. Thank God we are all given another day to make a change to be better, hopefully these two take advantage of tomorrow’s, attitude determines your latitude!

Disappointed in this company. Tl;dnr - Containers Local agreed to a job after seeing photos and then did not complete the job. They were unprofessional and did not offer any solutions, they only took our money. There are two formerly welded containers in my yard that I am giving to a colleague. We decided to use Containers Local to move the containers from Farmville to Richmond. The company looked at photos of the containers, which are on footers, and agreed to the job and took $850 before the job was completed. When they showed up to move the containers, they said that they were unable to do the job because the containers were still welded (which is not true - they were disconnected last week) and because the containers were on footers. There was no attempt in the moment to try to move the containers or to problem solve. There was no attempt to explain what we needed to do for Containers Local to come back and move the containers. There was no offer to refund us our money because the services were not rendered. Instead both my colleague and I spoke with Jake separately, and he was aggressive toward both of us (and even admitted to being an “aggressive person” to me on the phone). The entire situation is unfortunate and unprofessional. I understand from other reviews that this company is good at moving containers, but they dropped the ball with us. Jake claimed that driving out to Farmville constituted the entire $850 and refused to refund any portion of the money, even after saying several times that he wanted to come to an “equitable solution.” I am highly disappointed in this company. I understand that we posed a unique and challenging situation, but Containers Local did nothing to help us, only took our money without completing the job while acting rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. They could (should?) have simply not agreed to take the job in the first place.

Jake and the folks at Container Locals are awesome! We've bought a half dozen shipping containers from them over the years and have yet to have anything short of a great experience. We used to call around, source different quotes from various companies, cross reference reviews and customer feedback, and cross our fingers once we committed to one. But ever since we found Container Locals, they're the only ones we contact when we need a new container. Their pricing is fair, they have a wide selection of good quality containers, they communicate consistently throughout the process, and the delivery always goes off without a hitch. If you're looking for a quality container from a quality company, look no further than Container Locals!

Frequently Asked Questions About Container Locals

How much room do I need to have a storage container delivered?

A 40-foot container requires 100 feet of runway, and a 20-foot container needs 50 feet of runway. We recommend using salt-treated wood, concrete blocks, or solid metal for the foundation. We'll also use these materials to level the container upon delivery.

Do you offer any warranties for your work?

We offer a five-year leak warranty on used containers and a 10-year leak warranty on new containers. We service our warranties ourselves.
