After paying for that item, I went to the pickup location. As soon as the associate handed me my order, she spoke to me in a condescending and unprofessional tone, stating that she had been waiting over FIVE minutes for me because I had already checked in. I was honestly dumbfounded by how aggressive her approach was. I have used store pickup at other Lowe’s locations before, where I’ve had to wait in line while other customers were being served, so I don’t understand why this situation caused such hostility. I would think store pickup is meant to be a strategy to encourage more business, since customers often spend additional time and money in the store. In my case, I was only a little over five minutes from checking in before I arrived at the pickup area. Associates may be busy, but this interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Store pickup should be a convenience, not an experience where customers are spoken down to over minor timing issues.

Since when , the last 4 years we received amazing customer service and help not this year. We will never be back . The competitor will be getting our business for now on. These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
