This is not directly a Lowe’s issue, but I believe Lowe’s should do a better job selecting trustworthy vendors. I purchased the $29 HVAC tune-up through Lowe’s, and ARS was the contractor assigned.
Below is my review of ARS:
After the tune-up, my unit stopped blowing air. We had no intention of replacing the system with ARS, especially after speaking with another HVAC technician who offered a much more reasonable price.
The other technician found that the blower fan wasn’t working because the capacitor had been unplugged. It appears the ARS technician or estimator disconnected it, which caused unnecessary trouble and additional cost for me to bring in another professional.
Very unprofessional service — not trustworthy. I do not recommend using ARS.”

Delivery & installation problems have been reported: damaged items on arrival, long delays, issues fitting correctly. The kitchen cabinet takes 2 month to delivery 🚚 and been than 2 weeks without installation missing parts it will take more month to finished really bad customer service

I bought over $4000 things including a shark vacuum and air purifier from Lowe’s Gainesville store after 3 days I was trying to return those things because those were working as per my expectations. I go to store and trying to return but the employee was very rude and refused to return those things. I don’t know what kind of problem she had. I was very bad experience. I didn’t return the things. These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
