We needed to rent a truck today, return tomorrow. I called the location TWICE today to make sure they had trucks available before having my husband meet me after work to rent one and they told me both times they had 3. When we got there they told us that one was not rentable because of a mechanical problem and the other 2 wouldn't start because they had dead batteries. When the manager came up to customer service and started taking return customers (we let everyone in line skip us while they were trying different trucks) her only comment on the situation was that no one ever asked her. I was put on hold the first time I called to confirm availability of the trucks so I have no idea who they "confirmed" with. I called again before leaving to meet my husband to make sure they -still- had trucks. We chose Lowes because we have an account there and now have to try to rent one somewhere else tomorrow am despite needing the truck to use this evening. This is an incredibly frustrating experience that could have been avoided if they had just told us their 3 trucks were inoperable.

When I went up to customer service to dispute a refund charge I was given to a manager named Janice she was acting very rude rolling her eyes had a heavy attitude talking to me like I was dumb and beneath her, in the end a wonderful employee named Sarah who is head of cashier helped me and was very insightful I told her thank you and Janice rudely scoffed at my comment and continued to give me ugly faces. I would like HR to handle this inexperienced rude employee who should know how to have customer experience at her age by now if anything she should be an example of what not to do.

Having bought many items for our most recent home from Depot, Amazon and Lowe’s, I found both this store and the software app to offer a good combination of stock and service. Although a Depot is closer to our home, and Amazon offers a wide variety of goods plus prompt delivery—Lowe’s turned out to be very competitive in pricing and selection of tiles and faucets for our recent bathroom remodeling. Human service was good, and where not enough tiles were available in Gainesville more were in their Dale City store, 50 minutes drive away. The app is full featured, and very effective, if not quite as good as the Depot app for searching your previous orders. The credit card seems better than the Depot card—the promotional carnage on emails and texts is much less. Overall, Lowe’s is a little more oriented to consumers, and worth the longer drive from my home, for both home and garden materials.

We picked up alot of tiles. Large heavy tiles. Rey was the associate who brought our order out to curbside. He was so incredibly helpful. He didn't have to, but he helped us load the heavy tiles into the pick up truck. It was so kind of him to take some time to try and help us get the tiles loaded. He was polite, professional, kind and helpful. I shop at Lowes all the time and he made this shopping experience the best by far. I am seriously grateful for my interaction with Rey. Thanks so much Rey!!!

I've given Lowe's in Gainesville 23 years of dedicated business. So I would not expect to be ignored with not so much as an I'm sorry or anything remotely close to an apology,. I visited the store on Jan 20th because I needed to replace my snowblower. I asked the CSR in customer service if there was anyone available to assist me? She called a gentleman in the radio or phone. She then told me he was on his way and I should remain at customer service. I waited for 15+ minutes and no one ever approached me to assist. I went over to the counter and asked the original CSR if the guy who was supposed to assist me got lost? She looked at me as though I was speaking a foreign language that she didn't understand. I asked again if there was someone who could assist me? The second CSR who had come to the service desk by then said, "that would be me". So, instead of assisting me, both CSRs chose to assist other customers who were not even in the store when I initially asked for assistance. I belueve the male CSR had been the one called to customer service to assist me, but instead he chose to ignore me and help other people. As if that wasn't bad enough, neither offered to assist me at that point and never offered up any form of an apology. Instead, the male CSR looked at me as though I was annoying him. You wouldn't expect to receive that kind of treatment and service from CUSTOMER SERVICE. I stood there for another 5 minutes and neither offered any assistance even after all of that. I walked out of the store, called Home Depot in Manassas and purchased a $1600 snow blower over the phone. The customer service provided by Home Depot was excellent! I don't care how convenient the Lowe's Gsinesville store is to my home, I'll give my business to Home Depot in Haymarket or Manassas. So long Lowe's!
