- BBBob BennettOct 27, 20251.0Couldn’t be worse plus they bill you in advance for services not rendered. I’ve asked multiple times to bill after a month of services and they do it only to have them pre-bill the next month. They bill you for example on Oct 1st for your monthly services in Nov and tell you are late and then lie to you on the phone unless you look at the specific details. An unethical organization at their core.

I paid $165/hr for 1 tech to change out batteries and check the system. Then when he had to return to replace a smoke detector, I was charged $206 for 45 mins? Ripoff on service. Highway robbery. More than I pay for a 45 min visit to the instacare. Electricians charge less. Plumbers charge less. Garage repairmen charge less. Sprinkler companies charge less. HVAC repairs charge less. Dealership mechanics charge less. Exorbitantly overpriced. I'm in the service industry myself. I was expecting to pay anywhere from 80 to 120 per hr. I'll be doing all future service and battery changes myself or hire someone else from now on. Any future problems with the actual system and i'll be changing companies before I ask for service from Mountain alarm. 2 stars rated instead of 1 only because I feel installation was great, and the monthly price is reasonable and their customer service on the phone is reasonable as well.
