- CCChrisJan 26, 20261.0Greedy company! I've been with this location for a few years now, and after Extra Space took over they increased my rate from around $100 to $119 two years ago. Last year, they sent a notice saying they were increasing it to $169, and today I get a notice saying it's going up to $199! This is ridiculous and it pisses me off, to be honest. Out of frustration, I don't care if I pay the same price elsewhere, I will be laving Extra Space Storage for a different company. What's more frustrating is they snatched up several locations around town, so naturally they are driving prices up and making it impossible for the average person to afford to rent from them. For $2400 a year, I might as well buy another shed and put it in my back yard to store everything. I might just do that.
