It is with deep regret that I am in a position to write this review. As a former Store Manager with Lowe’s myself, I underwent a biopsy for brain cancer on Oct 30 of last year. Maybe I was in denial, but I felt good enough to clean out my gutters as I always do. After doing so, I bought a ten pack of gutter guards for $25 to replace the ones that collapsed with the full intention of installing them once my recovery permitted. On Nov 12, I underwent a craniotomy to remove the tumors which at this time were found to be malignant. Again, maybe I was overly optimistic about my recovery but I fully intended to install them myself when I could safely do so. I then underwent 42 days of radiation and 42 days of chemotherapy. I then underwent 5 additional rounds a max-dose chemo and was told that I had to wear a device on my head for at least 18 hours a day for the rest of my life. At some point in June, after experiencing constant tremors and ride side paralysis, I began to realize my days of getting up on top of a ladder were over and that I would have to hire a handy man to do the work. That day I put the ten pack of gutter guards in my wife’s car and took them to Lowe’s #473, my first Lowe’s store. When I got there I was asked for my receipt or the credit card I used to make the purchase which was able to be located. I was wearing the device on my head at the time so there could be no doubt about my diagnosis, when I was told that my since my verified purchase was made over 3 months ago, that there was nothing Lowe’s could do for me. There was no overriding the register, even when I explained the underlying reasons. As a former Store Manager, I assured my wife that I would call corporate and shockingly they unwilling to offer ANY assistance whatsoever. I called 5 times that afternoon and was told each time that they could not help me. The last time I called, I asked for the District Manager’s name and phone number. They flat out refused to provide it, saying it was private information. I said I am not asking to be provided any private information it was a corporate phone number I was asking for! I assured this last person I spoke with that he would have to hang up on me, and after nearly 15 minutes he effectively ended the call by sending me to the survey. I asked to contacted by the District Manager during the survey, but that also failed. All I was asking for was a merchandise credit for $25 plus tax. Instead, I was given the runaround, I spoke with the Manager on Duty and ultimately got to speak to the Store Manager Jeremy Harris on July 11 after waiting on hold for nearly 17 minutes. After explaining the situation to him, if I was unable to convince him to waiver off of the corporate and instead asked for him to apologize for a SHAMEFUL corporate policy that Lowe’s has adopted. I have been a Lowe’s customer for 25 plus years but no more. Regretfully, I have closed my account effective today.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
