  If I could give negative stars, I would. I am currently in the middle of the single worst large-purchase experience I have ever had, and I will NEVER give Lowe's another dime. My wife and I purchased a dishwasher at the Franklin, WI Lowe's on 7/5. The salesperson wasn't friendly, but the deal was good, so we agreed to the purchase, installation, extended warranty, and a Lowe's credit card for an additional $100 off. I immediately paid off the card, then closed it because Synchrony does not offer MFA. The next morning, Lowe's told me my payment was declined and I needed to provide another card. Apparently, the salesperson had failed to explain that Wisconsin requires the final $100 to be paid at installation. Even worse, I was suddenly told I owed another $56 because the dishwasher price had increased since I purchased it. I reluctantly paid the additional $156. On 7/31, the installer arrived, looked under my dishwasher, and said the installation had to be rescheduled because I needed a new shutoff valve and water arrestor. I was told I had to drive 20 miles each way back to Lowe's to pay for the additional labor because the installer couldn't take payment. I couldn't pay by phone or online either. At the store, nobody knew how to process the charge because my Lowe's card was closed. An assistant manager, the store manager, and eventually about eight employees spent over an hour trying to figure it out. I suggested simply ringing it as a separate order. That's eventually exactly what they did. On August 2, I arranged for a licensed plumber friend to do the additional work myself and called Lowe's to cancel that portion, as the installer had instructed me to do. I was told my dishwasher installation was still scheduled for August 10 from 11 AM–2 PM. On August 7, I had to call again because my replacement credit card had been compromised and reissued. I made the new payment, and the employee again confirmed my August 10 installation appointment. On August 10, I called at 8 AM to confirm the appointment. Lowe's told me it was still scheduled for 11 AM–2 PM. 2 PM came and went. Nobody showed up. I called again and was told there was no appointment. After explaining that I had literally confirmed it six hours earlier, I was told that there HAD been an appointment, but apparently I had "cancelled" it when I cancelled the additional labor on August 2. This makes absolutely no sense, especially since the appointment was still showing in their system when I called that morning. The third-party installer was then patched in, and I was told the earliest they can install my dishwasher is September 1. I have jumped through every hoop imaginable with this company. I've been extremely patient. I've even paid a higher price that I absolutely should not have had to pay. Not once has anyone at Lowe's offered to do anything to make this right or even attempted to make sure I am a satisfied customer. At this point, I could install the dishwasher myself. But I paid for professional installation and an extended warranty, and I'm afraid that if I install it myself, Lowe's will find some excuse to deny a future warranty claim. We are supposedly getting a rebate for the installation in the form of store credit—assuming the dishwasher ever gets installed. I'll spend that credit, and then I will NEVER set foot in a Lowe's again. I cannot believe how abysmally awful this entire experience and customer service have been. Not one person has taken ownership of the problem or even attempted to make things right. Edit: I see they have replied and said I could call them to try to fix the issue. I have called enough and will not call again. They have my name and know what store I bought from. They could easily reach out to me, but they don't want to go out of their way. They want me to go out of my way yet again. This is Lowe's customer service on public display.

  Had an outer storm door installed last October 30th or 31st. we were going on a trip and I noticed that when we locked handle from the outside on the new door the whole lock pulled out of the door on the key. So I reported the problem we came back from our trip & two months later it still isn't fixed and today a guy was supposed to show up between 11:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. he calls at 11:15 and says do you have the the new handle and we said no you're supposed to pick it up at the store and he says I'll be right there right after I pick it up and then never showed up and never called. I don't think that's great service I'm beginning to wish I bought the door somewhere else .

  We ordered decking online for delivery from the Plover store, but somehow the online order was submitted to the Franklin store, which is over 3 hours away. We called about this, and after repeating "Customer Service" to their AI interface about 5 times, we got a person on the line. They said they were having problems shipping it due to our location, but indicated it would ship within a few days. After waiting for the shipment on 3 separate days (delivery window = 8am to 8pm), we gave up and decided to cancel the order. Cancelling the order took multiple calls, fighting through the AI interface to get a person. On at least 2 attempts, they put un on permenant hold; I'm sure to get rid of us. The next morning we asked for a manager, and she worked through the cancellation process. This could have all been avoided if they originally noticed a delivery order was mistakenly received from a customer over 3 hours away, and either sent the order to the Plover store, which is an hour away (= 4 star review), or informed us that they cannot fulfil the delivery of an order from a customer 3 hours away, and we should cancel the order and call our local store to order it manually (also a 4 star review, since technical glitches happen). Either of these basic options would have saved weeks of trouble for both of us. BTW, we would have bought from Home Depot since they were quite a bit less expensive for the same product, but they didn't carry what we needed. There is definately room for improvement at this store.
