This location is clean, they always have carts they also have an elevator. The doors to the unit open with ease. I will recommend this location to my family and friends.

The convenient overhead door to drive into the storage is always broken yet that have no problem continuously increasing the rent. Find another place to rent from, this place is not it. Way to expensive

Good- Good location. Indoor garage. Staff is friendly on phone and in person. (as of 07-2026).
Bad- Overhead door should just be left open. It never works. Well, it did for first month. Then it stopped.
Good- When I switched units from 10x10 to 10x15 the lady was prompt to call and let me know there was an opening. She even told me to wait until the weekend to move so I would have a couple extra days to switch.
Bad- Also told me I would stay on same rate (including insurance $168? or $172? Let’s just say about $170).
That was on a Friday. The very next day when I went to switch everything (Saturday) the guy I signed paperwork with said rent was $192!
The lady the day before even promised me that day she would leave a note in the system in case she wasn’t there!
So alright. I’m going to massively overpay. Fine. I’m still talking the deal for convenience.
What bothered me was when I called asking what a new client would pay she said $266? or something around there! For a 10x15!!!.
I thought I misheard and said did you say $226? Nope it was well above that. So I guess I should be grateful my rent only increased about $100 in under 12 month’s.
Here’s the thing...
I know the intro rates are 1-3 months and just meant to get you in the door, but after that my online rate, and screenshot and printed copy and all was supposed to be about $147. Everything! (Insurance and all). So intro of about $110ish (maybe less) and then jump to about $150. Ok that I agreed on.
{Side-noteI: I also didn’t realize that no notice was needed to raise the rates. I was on auto-pay, so if I missed to check a month it was slowing going up; without knowing. At least in Wisconsin, or very least Milwaukee County. No legal notice is needed. Only needs to be at start of bill cycle; you do not need to inform consumer though}. So be careful.
I can understand with a 30 or 60 day notice. Or maybe every 6-12 months a small increase, but a $50 jump in no time. Wow!
***Worst part of it all! They had a pipe break or leak. No big deal, it happens. Guess what I had fun dealing with and still sort of am; although it’s much better…
Silverfish in everything!. You could see where they put new collars on the pipes and the items below were still soaked. I know silverfish are not dangerous, but cmon, who wants that crap running around while you wash and clean everything.
Was this the worst storage place ever? No. The staff was very friendly. However, you should only plan on staying a short while. The price increase is about every 60 days and I really hope they got rid of the silverfish.
Again, workers good. Whoever owns this place is a genius. A storage unit in prime 27th St location and then you are stuck.
I just wish notice was required to raise rates. I suppose that is an issue to take up with WI legislative branch. Dang.
